Hybrid Nanomaterials

Associating different categories of nanomaterials into novel nanostructures which combine the properties of their counterparts, as well as new properties developed from such combinations is a major goal for the members of the PML. In particular magnetic nanomaterials are combined with several inorganic or organic nanostructures using and combining chemical and thin film preparation techniques, in an effort to produce, fully characterize, study and reveal novel hybrid nanostructures with extraordinary properties. These hybrid nanostructures include:

Carbon-based/magnetic nanoparticle hybrid nanomaterials
Magnetic nanoparticles capped with inorganic or/and organic nanoshells
